When I saw an email in my inbox with this heading, my initial reaction was to assume it was some kind of spam message, something along the lines of “Holiday Greetings from Lowe’s!” I’m so glad I didn’t unwittingly delete or ignore it.
Last week someone contacted Kendall’s brother (who lives in Burbank and writes cartoons like Boss Baby and the Penguins of Madagascar) and said they had “shared something she [I] had written on her mealtrain blog and someone wanted to contact her.” Not knowing who this “someone” was, but trusting the colleague who had asked, my brother-in-law emailed me to ask permission to share my email address. I said that was fine and then didn’t think anything of it.
It turns out that the “someone” my Meal Train post had been shared with was actually the creator of WandaVision, who was touched by reading my story and then reached out to me personally with a very lovely message and words of encouragement. Amazing!!!! What a cool experience, and something I will always treasure. (I don’t normally fangirl geek out over celebrities, but I did this time!)
Don’t worry, I did get permission first before publicly blogging here about our interaction. But wow, I’m so glad that I decided to share that WandaVision story after all!
